Each Cajal Academy student has a highly-customized program allowing them to access their strengths and experience their gifts, while actually remediating the learning, physio and/or social-emotional difficulties that hold them back through a mixture of traditional and Cajal-exclusive approaches. These custom programs come together through community-wide project-based learning units, giving all our students a shared, common purpose. Rewire the Way They Learn
We use the data in each child’s profile to examine the specific neurocognitive skill deficits driving learning difficulties like ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia and then “rewire the brain” to better perform that skill, removing LDs in as little as a single school year.
From Social Learning to Social Leaders
We help students understand how their learning and neurophysio profils influence their experiences, and give them a 21st century toolbox for fostering truly-inclusive neurodivergent communities, turning social skill development into social leadership over the course of their program.
Gaining Agency over Body-Brain Connections
Each student learns about their unique neurophysio profile, and how they can gain agency over motor coordination difficulties, sensory processing disorder, chronic medial conditions and other hidden challenges impacting learning and social experiences. This is coupled with coaching in how to self-monitor, self-manage and self-advocate for their needs, building skills transfer across settings.
